Context: The Picasso museum will reopen its doors in June 2014. At this occasion, the museum would like to recreate its identity and communicate around this event.
Issue: Create a clear and easily identifiable logo with Picasso Museum image and a poster of reopening which could be déclinable for the posters of the next museum exhibitions.
Concept: The new identity of the Picasso Museum must be obvious. So I chose to put this logo ahead on the posters, like central element. Picasso being the cubism precursor, the logo and the posters are primarily inspired by this movement (reduction of the objects in simple geometrical shapes). The shapes are coming from several of its large paintings (the Tank Horta de Ebro, 1909 and Portrait of Kahnweiler, 1910), of which a building to represent the Picasso Museum, in order to represent the museum with the image of its Master.
